Kerala Making Its Presence Felt at GITEX Technology Week 2015

GITEX Technology Week 2015 is on the path to be taken over my the elegance and high spirited enthusiasm of Kerala. The Kerala IT pavilion, which features 33 companies from the state, were inaugurated recently at the Event.

 

Launched in 1981, GITEX is an annual international trading hub for the global technology sector and the ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region, as well as an inbound sourcing platform for the entire Middle East region. The exposure for the Kerala Companies attending the event is very valuable, in terms of both exposure to the global market, analysis with competition and understanding the technological trends and growth pattern.

 

The Kerala Pavilion, was inaugurated by Technopark CEO K.G.Gireesh Babu.

“We have been coming to Gitex for the past so many years and have been showcasing the various IT destinations in the state. But for the last three years, we have been bringing home grown IT companies especially in the SME sector and showcasing their innovative products and services at the same time giving them an opportunity to interact with the international players,” said Mr Gireesh Babu.

Talking about Kozhikode Cyberpark, CEO Ajith Kumar said that India’s apex IT industry body NASSCOM has identified it as a potential product destination. ”The first IT building at Cyberpark will be commissioned soon and we hope to see many companies from this region setting up offices there,” he said.

 

The Kerala delegation will also use the visit to meet up the prominent Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) to talk to them about wide range of investments opportunities that the state offers.
